About the author
Jeff Spight
I write about a shift I keep watching play out in classrooms, first jobs, and living rooms: AI now lets people perform beyond the level they have actually developed into. Human Promise is where I work that idea out in public.
I have spent two decades building healthcare companies, which is where I learned to watch judgment form, and watch it fail, under real stakes. I am the father of three daughters, which is where the question of how a capable adult actually gets built stopped being abstract.
The writing here is first person and stays close to real scenes. The through line is simple to say and hard to live: keep protecting the work that builds people, now that output no longer reliably proves it happened.
